Does Twin Block treatment hurt?
No, this treatment should not hurt. At first, the Twin Block appliance may feel awkward in your mouth, but within a few days it should be comfortable & easy to wear. For the first few days speech may be affected, but this will steadily improve & should return to normal within a few weeks. As with all new appliances, the teeth & jaws may be a little sore at first. This discomfort should be easily treated with over-the-counter pain relief such as paracetamol or ibuprofen.
